About the role

Join Cornwall Housing in our exciting time of change and transformation, with this fantastic opportunity to be our Information Governance Officer in our newly established Resources Directorate.

As part of the Resources team, reporting into our Head of Governance in this role you will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation is fully compliant with General Data Protection Regulations and the Data Protection Act 2018 within legislative timeframes. You will manage all Freedom of Information and Subject Access requests for CHL and ensure that all deadlines are met in line with regulatory requirements. You will manage and update all key Cornwall Housing Ltd (CHL) policies and procedures, ensuring the policies fit with the strategic direction of the organisation and meet the everyday needs of residents and partners, while being responsive to changes within the sector.

About you

to be successful, you'll have:
  • Data Protection qualification (e.g. ISEB) or relevant experience
  • Sound knowledge of the legal, statutory and regulatory requirements that affect Cornwall Housing Limited in relation to information governance
  • A good understanding of the principles and practices of the General Data Protection Regulations and the Data Protection Act 2018

Salary: £34,369 per year

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, part time applications will be considered

Contract Type: Permanent

Base: Hybrid working - working from home, office and on-site/in the community as needed. Your base will be our main office in Chy Trevail, Bodmin, PL31 2FR.

Safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of all our service users, clients and customers. This role is subject to a Basic DBS check. You will be asked to complete a relevant DBS check to be successfully appointed to the role.
