Senior Data Governance Specialist - Play a key role in our data journey

Then join our Data Governance & Technology team at Norlys as our Senior data governance specialist!
You will be a part of the growing Norlys A/S Digitalization & Technology department and play a key role in building our digital future through convenient, integrated solutions. Here you will join the Data Transformation & Governance team where we focus on creating tools, processes, and collaboration with the business to put high-quality data to use for insights and AI. You will play a key role to establish and professionalize our data governance structure and data quality across all business areas.
More specifically, your tasks will involve:
• Working closely with several separate business divisions to map data governance in as-is and to-be situations
• Setting the direction for and assisting in the implementation of the to-be situation for data governance in the business
• Defining roles and responsibilities for data stewards and data owners and build a strong network for best practice within Norlys A/S
• Building an overview of the data landscape
• Guiding and contributing to setting the direction, ambition and prioritization for Data Governance and execution of roadmap and plans - and the ongoing evaluation of technology requirements to support Data Governance
What we expect you bring to the role
You probably have a relevant educational background in IT, business, engineering, finance, or equivalent and have either a couple of years of experience working with data governance or related fields. Most importantly, you are interested in communication and facilitation of data governance and have a self-driven and systematic approach to your work tasks, as well as a holistic approach to data governance. It is a plus if you have experience with data platforms and related technologies.
Furthermore, you have some of the following qualifications:
• A skilled change agent and communicator with a positive can-do-attitude
• Ability to take in organizational complexity and work in collaboration with diverse stakeholders to lead the organization on the journey towards higher data maturity
• Experience in developing communication and training materials and performing training of people in a technical field
• Passionate about Data Governance but also patient and persistent by nature
• Understanding of IT- and data architecture to be able to communicate with IT Architects, Data Engineers and Master Data Specialists
• Knowledgeable on how Data Governance, data quality, data lifecycle processes etc. impacts business performance due to your solid business understanding
Beyond the professional qualifications, you are also a team-player. Through proactivity, initiative and drive you ensure the Business Units are ambitious and take responsibility for their development in data usage/understanding/maturity.
