Your role

We are looking for our next Junior Analyst - Investment Advisory (Stewardship, Governance and Engagement)to join our team in our EMEA headquarter in Henley-on-Thames!

In this role you'll work within the Investment Advisory team, who provides governance, stewardship and proxy voting advice to the Equities teams. This team provides support to the fund managers on corporate engagement.

What we are we looking for:
  • Analyse shareholder meeting agendas and related research materials to provide Fund Managers with vote analysis and recommendations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure ongoing maintenance of internal spreadsheets and voting records.
  • Provide voting and engagement reports for the local equity teams
  • Help support the data gathering process and analysis for corporate engagement as advised by senior members of the teams
  • Respond to engagement and proxy voting-related queries from various areas of the business.
  • Carrying out research and attending industry events relating to relevant corporate governance topics to support the team
  • Build important working relationships across the Investment floor and become a trusted partner to the teams.
  • Assist with ad hoc stewardship projects as necessary.

What you can bring:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is acceptable.
  • Strong interest or direct experience in corporate governance, stewardship and proxy voting.
  • Integrity and collegiality and bringing a good energy to the team.
  • Being honest, trustworthy and good-natured
  • Intelligence, curiosity and eagerness to learn
  • Receptivity to feedback
  • Ability to work under tight timelines and flag any roadblocks
  • Positive communication and relationship skills
