Under the direct supervision of the Immigration and Border Governance (IBG) Senior Programme Manager, the Programme Associate IBG will provide technical, administrative and logistical support for the coordination and implementation of the IBG portfolio in the Denmark Country Office, including for the Danish Migration Management Programme (CAPACITY) and the Regional Migration Governance Programme (RMGP) funded by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). In particular, the successful candidate will support the programmatic coordination, liaison and communication with Danish authorities as relevant to the implementation and monitoring of the CAPACITY and RMGP Programmes.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Programme Manager (IBG) in the coordination of programme activities with target Country Offices, relevant Regional Offices and relevant stakeholders in the framework of the CAPACITY and RMGP Programmes.
- Support the preparation and follow-up to IBG programmes' Steering Committee meetings in Denmark and in target Countries, in the framework of the CAPACITY and RMGP Programmes, including drafting presentations, agendas, Notes for Files (NFFs) and other relevant documentation.
- Support the coordination with donor counterparts and programme partners, such as Danish government authorities, embassies, ICMPD? and other relevant agencies to support effective working relationships, as relevant to the IBG portfolio at IOM Denmark.
- Support the coordination with administrative teams and support functions, including the finance, logistics and procurement teams to check if CAPACITY and RMGP programmes' transactions are processed in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the development and revision of CAPACITY and RMGP information products, such as reports, periodic updates and analysis; briefing and research papers, country-specific overviews, and success stories for internal and external use, that demonstrate the impact of IBG Danish funded programming and their contribution to Danish migration priorities.
- Provide logistical support for the organization of relevant events, e.g., donor briefings, conferences, workshops, study visits, working groups, interagency coordination meetings, and other forums.
- Act as the Gender Focal Point for the CAPACITY and RMGP Programmes and support the mainstreaming of gender and other pertinent cross-cutting issues in programme activities in coordination with relevant IOM units, and as relevant to Danish priorities.
- Support the IBG team in Denmark with analysing the Danish political landscape and providing relevant background information on political developments and immigration-related topics, including by reviewing Danish media and relevant publications and statistics from Danish authorities.
- Support the IOM CO in Denmark with updating the donor profile for Denmark with relevant IBG-related information, and support engagements, in close cooperation with IOM Denmark's Policy and Liaison Officer.
- Regularly update the mapping of IOM Danish-funded activities and prepare flash reports and visuals.
- Undertake duty travel relating to programme implementation, monitoring visits, assessments, liaison with counterparts, conferences etc.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor University Degree from an accredited institution in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs, or another relevant degree with at least 3 (three) years of relevant work experience, or
- Completed High School degree with at least 5 (five) years of relevant work experience.

Experience
- Working experience in the area of project implementation, liaison and administrative and financial tasks is a requirement.
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies or non-governmental organizations, in particular Danish Stakeholders, is a requirement.
- Experience in the areas of Immigration and Border Management, particularly on topics related to legal identity and migration management including return and readmission, is a requirement.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of working with UN/International Organizations or government institutions/organizations in a multi-cultural setting is considered an advantage.
Skills
- Proven ability to establish and maintain strong working relations with relevant Government counterparts, international organizations and non-governmental entities.
- Knowledge of Danish donor rules and regulations.
- Excellent writing and drafting skills.
- Excellent administrative, organizational and coordination skills.
- Good analytical skills, strong sense of details and accuracy.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

- For this position, fluency in English and Danish is required (oral and written).
