Duties and Responsibilities

TPA oversight activities
  • New TPA referencing or extension of service/line of business of an existing TPA: leading/coordinating the onboarding process: business justification form, CBRA, due diligence/pre audit, contract, EMEA/International approval form to Head of Claims
  • Audits: leading the operational/compliance TPAs' audits / coordinating the technical audits performed either by the local Claims team or by the Global Quality Assurance team. Recommendations follow up when required. Contribution to build the yearly audit plan for the BL TPAs.
  • Overall: monitoring all key topics are aligned with the Claims TPA framework: onboarding completed, yearly audits performed, new CBRA & CBRA refresh completed, contracts signed, MI delivered & consistent

TPA operational activities
  • CBRA: coordinating cybersecurity questionnaire with TPA Governance Compliance & Risk Officer & the Global Cybersecurity team in charge of the assessment; including preparation meetings with the TPAs & remediation plan follow up when applicable
  • Contracts: negotiating contracts handling agreement with the TPAs in coordination with the Legal, UW, Claims teams + subject matter experts if needed (sanctions, fraud&recovery) - negotiating amendments to the contracts against updates in regulation, law, AIG policies, changes in the claims delegation authorities or in the claims guidelines
  • MI/Finance: receiving/checking monthly claims BDX, all MI with a focus on key Claims Performance Metrics, implementing & monitoring Claims Loss funds together with the controlling team
  • Any other topic / support to the claims & UW teams in relation with TPAs: any topic where a go between role is expected such as: offboarding of TPAs, transfer from a TPA to another, set up collaboration with fraud & recovery + SIU team
  • Any contribution with the "functional" colleagues based across EMEA: team updates/calls, preparation of deck related with TPAs, contribution to the EMEA Monthly forum with inputs from TPAs
