DATA GOVERNANCE OFFICER(m/f/d)
Reporting directly to the Head of Data and Analytics, this role will be responsible for leading efforts to enhance, update, and operationalize data governance standards, procedures, and metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance requirements.
You will:
- Lead the development, implementation, and management of UNIQA's data governance framework
- Organize work of QA and data experts to achieve the Data Governance Strategy
- Partner with data owners, stewards, information security, privacy, and technology leadership teams to establish data policies, processes, and standards
- Lead engagement with data stewards to understand requirements and support capturing of business metadata, data lineage, data classification, and data quality
- Enforce Metadata standards and data quality, security, and management concepts
- Establish data policies, processes, and standards, ensuring data quality, security and compliance
- Develop and track metrics to measure the success of data governance activities and present to Regional Executive Board
- Establish Data Quality (DQ) KPIs, metrics, and remediation workflow
- Perform deep dives and root cause analysis on data issues
- Manage Data Domains and Data Owners across functions to ensure they perform their responsibilities
- Manage data glossary, data catalogue, and report inventory
- Work with IT and the Reporting team to implement DQ rules/checks inventory and escalations
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure adherence to data governance best practices
- Lead Change Management efforts across the organization
You have:
- University degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or related fields
- A minimum of 4 years professional experience in similar position
- Specialist knowledge of data governance principles and practices
- Understanding of relevant statutory frameworks applying to data privacy and governance, such as GDPR, etc.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and terminology related to data table structure and data processing
- Excellent writing skills for creating clear requirements, specifications, and documentation
- Systematic, analytical approach to work tasks
- Solid organizational skills to manage tasks and projects based on priority and timelines
- Fluent English - written and spoken
