Sizewell C. The power of good for Britain.

Location: Sizewell C, Suffolk with hybrid work arrangements.

Employment type: Permanent full-time

Employment basis: The role is expected to be a full- time position however we are open to discussing a more flexible or part- time approach where possible.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus bonus and other benefits.

The Opportunity

Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK's climate change agenda and energy policy. Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

We have a fantastic opportunity for DCO Governance Manager to join our team at Sizewell C.

Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.

The Role

As the DCO Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the governance commitments that SZC has made within the SZC Deed of Obligation, signed with the Local Authorities. This includes ensuring that all commitments within the Deed are monitored and delivered, such as governance group meetings and minutes, financial obligations and key mitigation schemes.

You'll also manage the financial commitments within the DoO to ensure that all required payments are made with appropriate inflation indexation included, liaising with the project wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all DoO governance groups to ensure effective and efficient management and organisation.

Manage of production, approval and publishing meeting records and outputs.

Responsibility for the DCO Governance Lead.

Ensure that the required updates and reporting from individual groups is undertaken and provided.

Oversee the process for approving meeting records for the provision of final records to East Suffolk Council for uploading to the portal.

Play a key role in maintaining and developing exceptional relationships with stakeholders.

Ensure all obligations under the DCO are met in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining comprehensive records of compliance.

Anticipate, manage and resolve issues within the work area, including process, programme, risk, budget and priorities.

The Skills

Ideally recent experience working in major infrastructure project role in the UK, with experience of managing teams and/or key relationships.

Coordinate and engage effectively between all governance groups chairs where required.

Strong management skills including project management, financial management and reporting.

Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks both internally and externally.
