Your new role working as a backup broker Technician means you will be working for a Lloyds Broker who is a leading specialist in Financial Lines and related risks, and who pride themselves on delivering top class service to clients . Your new brokers enjoy excellent working relationships with underwriters across the board, providing a wide range of classes. Due to an expansion within the Technical team, a position for a Technician (Account handler) who has technical experience in handling US lawyers, Architects and Engineers, D&O and/or Cyber risks has arisen.
Your new role
Your new role working as a Technician (Account handler) means you will be responsible for p roviding back up to the team and Department Manager by taking responsibility for the renewal list and maintaining MI stats. You will also prepare market submissions MRC slips and place documentation as well as, produce policy documentation, certificates and midterm endorsements. Other duties will include liaising with regional producing brokers and underwriters daily. You will also raise invoices / debit notes and London Market closings. Liaising with broker colleagues to ensure a smooth transition on all renewal and midterm adjustment. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in full cradle to grave technical manager from MRC Slips through to processing and have experience in handling the following classes: US lawyers, Architects and Engineers, D&O and/or Cyber risks.
What you need to succeed
Your previous experience working in a broker back up technical role or having experience of working at a Lloyd's Broker where you have handled Financial Lines or related risks will contribute to your success in securing this role. Ideally, you will have a minimum of 5 years' experience and be CERT CII qualified or working towards. You will have experience dealing with and preparing MRC slips and endorsements. You will have sufficient knowledge of U S FI, FL or PI Insurance as well as good working knowledge of the underwriters and London markets. You will have good communication skills, the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines, and be able to use Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel.
