Beijer Ref, a Swedish company with a global presence and a world-leading wholesaler of cooling technology and HVAC, is seeking a Junior Cyber Security analyst to join our team. Although you will be based in the office of Deltron, a company within the Beijer Ref Group in Croatia, your role will focus exclusively on Beijer Ref's global projects.
You would support our global security operations and safeguard our company's digital assets. In this role you will work closely with the Global Cyber Security Manager and Global CIO also including other local stakeholders to implement security policies, monitor systems, and mitigate risks in a fast-paced global environment.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring: Assist in the monitoring and management of security events from multiple sources including but not limited to events and follow up from global EDR SOC, email monitoring tools and other security monitoring tools.
- Onboarding: Support the onboarding process for new security tools and technologies, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.
- Periodic Training: Contribute to the development and delivery of periodic security training sessions for staff, raising awareness of best practices and security policies.
- Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities, helping to investigate security incidents and implement appropriate remediation measures. Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats, advising the team on appropriate countermeasures.
- Documentation Maintenance: Maintain and update security documentation to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including incident reports, security policies, and procedures. Collaborate with IT, legal, and business teams to ensure security is integrated into all business processes.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Self-starting and motivated attitude, take ownership of and solve challenging problems.
- An interest in continual learning and development of yourself.
- Eagerness to rapidly upskill yourself to respond to security incidents.
- An awareness of applicable industry and government cyber security frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in a system administrator role and in IT security.
- Experience with security tools like EDR, SIEM, and antivirus solutions is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment.
