The Governance and Reporting Manager is responsible for ensuring effective governance practices within network operations. They play a vital role in establishing reporting frameworks, processes and the metrics to monitor performance and alignment with IAG standards. The Manager's goal is to ensure deliverables are delivered on time to the correct standard and ensure compliance.

Job Description
Purpose of the role
The Governance and Reporting Manager is responsible for ensuring effective governance practices within network operations. They play a vital role in establishing reporting frameworks, processes and the metrics to monitor performance and alignment with IAG standards. The Manager's goal is to ensure deliverables are delivered on time to the correct standard and ensure compliance.
Accountabilities
Working in partnership with IAG Tech and the business to:
- Communication and Reporting: The manager is responsible for creating and maintaining effective communication channels between the network operations team and the organization's management. They provide regular reports, strategy papers, and performance updates to ensure transparency and alignment.
- SLA Compliance: Monitor supplier service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure compliance with performance standards. Collaborate with vendor management to address service issues and enhance service quality. Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements as needed.
- Employee Training and Performance: The manager oversees employee training, performance records, and development. They ensure that staff members are well-versed in network procedures and industry trends.

Qualifications

People Specification
Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
Desired qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- ITIL v3 Practitioner or greater
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
Skills
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with the products and technologies of major network equipment vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or others.
- Strong documentation skills for reporting.
- Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including team members.
- Collaboration and teamwork abilities, especially when working with cross-functional teams.
- The ability to analyze network performance data, identify trends, and report for improvements.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in governance and reporting management and support roles in a network or IT environment.
- Involvement in capacity planning activities, ensuring the network infrastructure can support the organization's growth and demands.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain detailed governance documentation, including network reports and records.
