CREATE-DkIT - Consolidating Research-Enterprise Alliances Through Engagement with DkIT
Background
Co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the ERDF Southern, Eastern & Midland Regional Programme 2021-27, and managed through the HEA TU-Rise programme, the CREATE-DkIT project involves a collaborative partnership between DKIT's research, innovation, and teaching agendas and over 100 enterprise partners in the region. Through this collaboration, we aim to advance enterprise innovation, leading to increased value creation, competitiveness, high-value employment opportunities and upskilling in the region.
A key objective of the CREATE-DkIT project is to consolidate and enhance research and innovation support to ensure that DkIT and its research community are adequately prepared for the ever-changing research landscape. The Institute is seeking an experienced professional to play a pivotal research and innovation support role as a Research Policy Compliance Officer
Position Summary
Responsible for developing responses to critical research policies and regulations, the Research Policy Compliance Officer will ensure compliance, transform current training offerings and increase the overall competitiveness of our researchers
Reporting to the Research Office Manager, the Research Policy Compliance Officer will be responsible for developing DkIT's responses to a wide range of relevant national and international research and innovation policy initiatives which directly impact and influence DkIT's research community. The recruited candidate will be responsible for creating a central repository of research-related policies and developing Institutional processes/responses to ensure that DkIT and its research community are fully compliant. They will represent DkIT at meetings of several national bodies, including but not limited to, the National Research Integrity Forum, the National Open Access Forum, the European Export Control Association for Research and the Irish ORCID Consortium. The recruited candidate will assume a supporting role to the Research Integrity Officer, liaising with School ethics committees to ensure all internal processes are compliant with national and international regulations. They will also be responsible for managing DkIT's export control licence applications and will work in close collaboration with DkIT's Corporate Business Partner to ensure relevant aspects of the CREATE project are fully compliant with State Aid Rules.
The Research Policy Compliance officer will be expected to develop and deliver training for DkIT researchers on the Institute's policy responses and will coordinate annual surveys to determine user satisfaction with the training platforms. The recruited candidate will work in collaboration with other CREATE-DkIT team members, including members of the Management Committee, the Research support officer and wider DkIT support units to assist in the delivery of key project actions and objectives.

Essential experience:
- Third level Qualification.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the national and international research and innovation policy landscape.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a third level institution or a research-intensive institution or multi-disciplinary corporate environment.
- Experience in the development and delivery of training or workshops.
